Con-way Freight Driver Achieves Two Million Accident-Free Miles
Ronnie Long Joins Distinguished Group of Con-way Freight Professionals
ANN ARBOR, Mich., and LOUISVILLE, Ky. - April 8, 2009 - Every industry has
certain unique career milestones which set apart an individual as especially
skilled and accomplished in their profession. For a professional truck
driver, two million miles of safe driving without an accident is the
ultimate measure of excellence. It is an elite club that now counts Goshen,
Ky., resident Ronnie Long as a member.
Long is a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight, a
less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and the largest subsidiary of
Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW). He safely drove the two million miles between 1987
and 2009, and reached the two-million-mile mark on Feb. 10. The company
plans to recognize his achievement in a ceremony to be held at its
Louisville, Ky., service center, where Long is based. He was previously
honored for reaching one million miles.

Long has been a professional truck driver for 29 years, and has worked for
Con-way Freight for 22 years. His route takes him from Louisville to
Knoxville, Tenn. Long has been married for 26 years to his wife, Karen, and
has two children: Ashley and Aaron. His hobbies include running.
Over the company's 25-year history, more than 1,280 Con-way Freight driver
sales representatives have reached the one-million-mile safe driving
milestone, while more than 90 have driven two million miles accident-free.
