Hightower Advertising Agency Develops Recruiting Software for their Clients
Madison, MS (January 27, 2009) - For 18 years, Hightower Advertising Agency has been a leader in truck driver recruitment advertising and is currently listed as one of the largest advertising agencies in Mississippi. Employing close to 30 staff members, Hightower is headquartered in Madison, MS, with a satellite office in Iowa. As a specialized agency, being ranked with the full-service advertising agencies is no small feat. Hightower has achieved such success through strong client relationships, great industry knowledge and extreme attention to the constant changes in the industry.
In the current economic situation, transportation companies are looking for the most efficient ways to manage every aspect of their business, including recruiting. To accommodate their clients’ driver recruiting needs, Hightower recently released a new tool in their OPUS Suite of products.
For years, Hightower has offered AdManager and PhoneManager through their OPUS Suite. A third product, WebManager, has recently been added. WebManager is a dynamic new tool that manages online driver applications immediately and provides credible, non-biased reports, all by parameters established by the subscriber. With WebManager, companies don’t waste their valuable time working unusable applications, and they can evaluate each Web site’s performance down to a cost per hire.
Hightower Chief Executive Officer Eddie Hightower explained, “With WebManager, recruiters don’t waste time working unusable applications from unqualified drivers. Their time is spent much more efficiently, resulting in more time interviewing and hiring the best drivers. The bottom line is it saves our clients time and money.”
“The current economy has resulted in decreased business for the transportation industry. But companies are still hiring, and we expect the industry to take a positive turn soon. This product positions our clients and Hightower to be prepared as the industry improves,” added Hightower.
Hightower’s clients are already reaping the benefits of WebManager. Jackson based KLLM Transport Services was one of the first to use WebManager. Carl Bryant, KLLM’s director of recruiting, spoke of its success. “The online applicants we get through WebManager are already screened when my recruiters get them. They aren’t wasting time calling drivers who don’t meet our parameters, have incomplete applications and such. We set the parameters and change them based on our hiring needs. It’s definitely a time saver and helps us get good drivers on the road as quickly as possible. Time savings results in savings to our bottom line.”
USA Truck based in Van Buren, AR was also one of the first trucking companies to use WebManager. Scott Loveday, USA Truck’s driver recruiting manager, discussed how WebManager has improved their Internet driver recruiting. “It's an excellent tool for us because it helps us to track our results, see how well our advertising is performing and to see what kind of results we're getting from all of our resources. And it helps us to make good decisions on whether we want to continue doing something or try something new. For us, it's an excellent tool that helps us make immediate adjustments.”
Loveday continued, “It's done a lot of things for us. … It helps us to track our cost and see where we're getting results and ultimately, what we want to do is attract the best possible drivers that we can hire. And the tool that you've got helps us do that.”
Although WebManager was developed for the purpose of recruiting truck drivers, the product is flexible and can be applied to any profession that does a high volume of recruiting. Hospitals, nursing services, customer service providers and many others can benefit from this recruiting tool.
