Con-way Freight Driver Achieves Two Million Accident-Free Miles
Benjamin Dixon Joins Distinguished Group of Con-way Freight Professionals
ANN ARBOR, Mich., and KNOXVILLE, Tenn., - Jan. 16, 2009 - Every industry has
certain unique career milestones which set apart an individual as especially
skilled and accomplished in their profession. For a professional truck
driver, two million miles of safe driving without an accident is the
ultimate measure of excellence. It is an elite club that now counts Seymour,
Tenn., resident Benjamin Dixon as a member.
Dixon is a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight, a
less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and the largest subsidiary of
Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW). He safely drove the two million miles between 1988
and 2009, and reached the two-million-mile mark on Jan. 3. The company plans
to recognize his achievement in a ceremony at its Knoxville, Tenn., service
center, where Dixon is based.

Dixon has been a professional truck driver for 32 years. His route takes him
from Knoxville to Roanoke, Va. Dixon has been married for 21 years to his
wife, Debra, and has three children: Bethany, 34; Brittany, 31; and Mariah,
13. He also has three grandchildren: Mitch, 15; Kaeli, 14; and Mia, 3. His
hobbies include woodworking and collecting coins.
Over the company's 25-year history, more than 1,250 Con-way Freight driver
sales representatives have reached the one-million-mile safe driving
milestone, while more than 75 have driven two million miles accident-free.
