Con-way Truckload Honors June Drivers of the Month

Company Recognizes Six Drivers for Professionalism, Safety and Performance

JOPLIN, Mo. - July 25, 2008 - Con-way Truckload, a full-truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced its monthly driver award recipients for June 2008:

. Company Driver of the Month: William Everett has been a professional truck driver for more than 45 years and joined Con-way Truckload in 1989. He currently lives in Cameron, Mo., and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

. Company Team of the Month: Paul and Betsy Bowerbank have been driving professionally for six years and started their Con-way Truckload careers in 2007. They have three sons and reside in Wittmann, Ariz.

. Contractor Driver of the Month: Roger Parker became a professional driver in 1995 and joined the Con-way Truckload team in 2006. A resident of Ridgely, Tenn., he spends his spare time doing yard work and working on old cars.

. Contractor Team of the Month: John and Sherry Hufford started at Con-way Truckload in 2000, after five years of driving professionally. At home in Bell, Fla., they enjoy cookouts, boating and riding their personal watercraft.

"These drivers are exemplary in their commitment to outstanding safety and service practices," said Herb Schmidt, president, Con-way Truckload. "Their professionalism is truly a model for drivers throughout the industry."

Driver of the month winners are automatically nominated for Con-way Truckload's year-end driver of the year awards in their respective categories. Drivers of the year win a cash prize, commemorative plaque, wrist watch and custom jacket, and are inducted into the Con-way Truckload Hall of Fame at the company's headquarters in Joplin, Mo. Full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as Con-way Truckload drivers for one year are eligible, as long as they are free of moving violations, accidents and out-of-service violations through state/federal inspections during the previous 12 months.
