Greatwide Dedicated Transport Recruits UPS Dedicated
and Freight Brokerage Chief
DALLAS (April 16, 2008) Greatwide Logistics Services– a national provider of non-asset-based transportation and third party logistics services – announced today that John Simone has joined Greatwide Dedicated Transport as president and chief operating officer.
Most recently, Simone was senior vice president of the Truckload division at UPS Freight. Simone brings with him over 20 years of senior management experience in transportation and logistics. His prior UPS experience spanned a variety of functional areas including transportation, fleet operations, engineering and maintenance. Prior to UPS, John was with Ryder Transportation Services for 16 years where he led fleet operations in the Northeast Region.
