Announces 2007 Driver Referral Winner of the Year

Referring drivers in 2007 paid off in a big way for driver William Cox, as Maverick Transportation recently awarded him as their 2007 Driver Referral Winner of the Year.

Cox, a resident of Woodhaven, MI, started with the company’s Specialized division last August, but still managed to surpass other Mavericks in the hunt for the annual award. As winner, he will receive a vacation package valued at $1,700, $500 spending cash and a week of vacation.

Cox was very excited about the award and said the cash prize and bonuses will be used to help pay off some bills. In regards to his recruiting success he stated, “I just tell drivers the truth. I can’t promise them anything, so I just tell them about my experiences.” Cox randomly speaks with drivers when on the road and occasionally visits the school where he earned his CDL. Quite often however, he said he is approached by drivers from other companies at truck stops saying they want to know more about Maverick. “They (Maverick) go far and above any other company I have researched and I want to offer that information to other people,” Cox added.
