Veterans Take Home More through Roehl Honor Program.
Now, OTR drivers who are also U.S. military veterans can take home up to $12,000 in GI Bill monies through a new program offered by Roehl Transport.
Created to honor the men and women who served our country and assist with their transition to long-term success in civilian life, the Roehl Honor Program™ allows drivers to earn industry-leading Roehl pay and, at the same time, receive career training benefits under the GI Bill. The program is available to qualified veterans who have been discharged from duty within the last 12 months or who are currently serving in the National Guard or Reserves. The length of time participants can receive the GI Bill benefits and the amount they are eligible to receive each month is determined by the U.S. Department of Defense, but for many it is as long as two years and can total more than $12,000… tax free.
The Roehl Honor Program expresses the thanks and respect of a grateful nation, according to company President Rick Roehl. The innovative program, approved by the U.S. Departments of Labor and Veterans Affairs provides veterans a fast track to a secure, high-paying career, complete with training, long-term employment and the opportunity for advancement. All Honor Program participants also get a special decal on their trucks identifying them as veterans.
The GI Bill benefit payments are on top of Roehl’s FIVE-STAR PAY™ Plan. The pay package, featuring driver pay rated by independent surveys among the 10 best in the nation, includes practical-route mileage pay, achievable bonuses, a mileage per diem pay option, and profit sharing.
“Most military veterans have already spent more than their share of time away from their families,” Rick Roehl pointed out. “So our generous home time options are especially attractive to them.” Roehl offers the industry’s best home time plans… some fleets have up to 26 weeks a year off. It also offers a comprehensive benefits program for drivers and their families.
Roehl’s long record as one of safest carriers in the nation resonates well with veterans. “Our military veteran drivers like being part of a committed team in which the first and foremost rule is to watch out for each other, to always do what’s right,” Rick Roehl said.
“The men and women of our armed services are heroes who have defended the American dream. It’s our honor to help assure they have the opportunity to live it,” Rick Roehl said.
Known as The Take Home More, Be Home More Carrier™, Roehl is considered one the nation’s premier companies to drive for. For more information about the Roehl Honor Program, call: 1-877-40-HONOR or visit www.RoehlHonorProgram.com
