Melton Truck Lines, Inc. Announces Driver and Contractor of the Year others also Awarded at Melton Truck Lines Annual Dinner

Tulsa, OK-On February 17, 2007, Melton Truck Lines announced Milton Martin as 2006 Driver of the Year and Sly Johnson, 2006 Contractor of the Year. Kevin Delaney was awarded 2006 Sales Representative of the Year and Kirsten Barksdale was honored as 2006 Employee of the Year.

Milton Martin joined Melton Truck Lines June 1, 1986, and has driven 2,396,004 miles. He is an Ambassador of the Road and has 13 years of safe driving with Melton. Milton has been named Driver of the Month twice.

Sly Johnson started as a company driver December 31, 1992. In 2000, he joined the contractor program and has since leased three trucks. Sly has run over 1.6 million safe miles with Melton.

Kevin Delaney, 2006 Sales Representative of the Year, has been with Melton Truck Lines for over nine years. He represents Melton through the Great Lakes area and continues to not only bring in excellent customers, but also deliver superior service. This is Delaney’s second honor as Sales Representative of the Year.

Kirsten Barksdale has been with Melton for nine years. She began her career in Recruiting and has since been an integral part of Melton’s Safety and Claims department. Kirsten exemplifies Melton’s 12 Traditions and commitment to service.

Other awards included: Top Producer was awarded to Melton Ambassador Richard “Spanky” Baringer; Contractor Top Producer was awarded to Melton Ambassador Ken Phillips. Top Team Producer was awarded to Dave and Dee Ann Schnindler, who are also Melton Ambassadors. Top Company MPG was awarded to Michael Gent and Top MPG Contractor went to Alfred Martinez. Kim Pilgrim, Driver Manager, took both Top Producing Fleet and Top Fleet MPG for 2006.
