Truckers’ Challenge Benefits

Big Brothers/Big Sisters

For the last several years, O&S Trucking, Inc. has been represented by at least one bowling team in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake annual fundraising event. This year the company is taking it to a whole new level! O&S and BBBS have paired up to create the 1st Annual Truckers’ Challenge.

O & S initiated a challenge to other trucking companies located in and around the Springfield, MO area to enter at least one team in the Bowl For Kids’ Sake event. The goal of the first annual Challenge was twelve competing teams or at least $3,000 (minimum of $250 per team).

Response to the challenge has been great. The event is still six weeks away and already the Challenge has the following:

Thirteen teams representing seven different carriers registered;
One industry vendor team entered in the regular event;
Other industry vendors sponsoring lanes and donating prize items

Teams consist of 5 bowlers each. Highest cumulative scoring team of the event will be awarded the Truckers Challenge Traveling Trophy and bragging rights for the year. There will also be additional recognition for the team raising the most funds via individual sponsorships, raffles, etc.

The event will be held at Battlefield Lanes, Springfield, MO on March 17, 2007 at 1630.

Christenson Trans (1 team) TCSI (3 teams)

Prime, Inc. (1 team)

O & S has 4 teams registered.

O & S Trucking, Inc. is an employee-owned, full service truck line based in Springfield, MO. The company hauls dry and temperature-controlled freight. The corporate fleet is comprised of Independent Contractors, including a Lease Purchase division and company owned equipment.
