TravelCenters of America acquires Troy, Illinois

WESTLAKE, Ohio, November 9, 2006 --- TravelCenters of America (TA) announced the acquisition of an existing independent facility in Troy, Illinois, just east of St. Louis, Missouri, to its growing network. Located on I-55/I-77 and State Route 162 at exit 18, the full-service travel center is designed to meet the needs of professional drivers and other highway travelers.

The full service restaurant is open 24 hours, seven days a week with over 185 seats in the dining area. This restaurant will convert to a TA Country Pride in the near future. In addition, a well-stocked spacious travel store offers a wide selection of competitively priced, brand name beverages, snacks and travel products. Visitors will find everything they need from gifts and souvenirs to electronics and driver supplies.

Professional drivers will find that TA St Louis East caters to their truck repair and maintenance needs with a stand alone shop located behind the facility. Featuring a three-bay truck service center that is open 24-hours, seven days a week, ASE certified technicians work hard to keep trucks running. Other conveniences at the site include 16 diesel dispensers, 120-space truck parking area, emergency road service, a lounge area with game room, TripPak Scanning, Interstate Scales, six luxury showers, WiFi and the RoadKing Club. Other TA amenities and services, including IdleAire, will be added in the future.
