Roosevelt Howard drives one million accident-free miles
The National Safety Council awarded its Million Mile Safety Award to Roosevelt Howard from Columbus, Georgia. The award is given to professional drivers attaining at least one million miles of accident-free driving.
Howard has operated his own truck under contract with Dart Transit Company in Saint Paul, Minnesota, since 1994. Roger Meyer, Dart Senior Fleet Manager, presented Howard with the award at Dart’s Corporate Office in Eagan, Minnesota.
“I have been working with Roosevelt for over seven years,” said Meyer. “He is one heck of a guy. He’s always willing to help out and gets the job done safely. Roosevelt is very self-sufficient and knows the ins and outs of the trucking industry. He runs his business well.”
Roosevelt participates in Dart’s award winning professional driver development program – which involves a yearly driver improvement course, safety advisors, driver performance analysis, and professional recognition.
