Joseph Roberts drives one million accident-free miles

The National Safety Council awarded its Million Mile Safety Award to Joseph Roberts, a resident of Valley Station, Kentucky. The award is given to professional drivers attaining at least one million miles of accident-free driving.

Roberts has been employed as a professional truck driver with Allpoints, Inc. and has driven well over a million miles since he was hired in 1992. Bob Tinklepaugh, Safety Advisor at Allpoints, presented Roberts with the award at their headquarters in Sellersburg, Indiana.

“I have been Joe’s Fleet Manager for 12 years,” said Charmayne Carver, Fleet Manager at Allpoints. “He is a very safe, prompt and dependable driver. All of these qualities contribute to his success in driving over a million accident-free miles throughout his long driving career.”

“Joe will help out with anything you ask of him,” Carver said. “He keeps his family and friends at the top of his list, and is proud to volunteer his time as a Trucker Buddy for an elementary school class in Georgia. Joe deserves this award for being a safe truck driver. He is an excellent employee and an all around good guy.”

Allpoints operates under contract with Dart Transit Company. Joe participates in Dart’s award winning professional driver development program – which involves a yearly driver improvement course, safety advisors, driver performance analysis, and professional recognition.

Dart is the nation’s 14 th largest truckload dry-van carrier, and offers 48-state, dedicated, and regional service with 2,500 independent owner operators. Dart is one of America’s safest trucking companies, according to the Washington D.C. based Truckload Carriers Association.
