GREATWIDE DISTRIBUTION LOGISTICS NAMES NEW PRESIDENT

 

Vin Gulisano, Freight Forwarding And Logistics Veteran, To Lead Greatwide Distribution Logistics

 

Dallas, TX (June 20, 2006) – Greatwide Logistics Services today announced that Vin Gulisano has been named President of its Greatwide Distribution Logistics business unit.

 

“Vin has had extensive operations and commercial success within the logistics industry, which will serve him well in his new position.  Our Distribution Logistics business has been highly successful to date, but we see greatly expanded opportunities under Vin’s leadership,” said Ray Greer, President and CEO of Greatwide Logistics Services.   

 

Gulisano, who will provide strategic direction for Greatwide Distribution Logistics and will also have bottom line P&L responsibility  for that business unit, will report to Greer.  “There is no doubt in my mind that there is tremendous potential for expanding our services to our existing warehouse and distribution clients, as well as to new clients within the other three Greatwide lines of business,” Gulisano commented.

 

Gulisano most recently served as Executive Vice President for the 3PL logistics division of Eagle Global Logistics, where he had responsibility for leading all sales, operations, finance and marketing efforts at that $200 million business unit.  Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Panalpina North America, Inc, a $1.2 billion organization consisting of 46 branches and 1,700 employees, where he was responsible for day-to-day freight forwarding operations, logistics services and customer service.  Prior to joining Panalpina, he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Engineering for APL Logistics, overseeing the global sales and marketing activities for that $1 billion third party logistics provider.  Gulisano spent most of his early career at USCO Logistics, helping to transition that company from a public warehouse provider to a significant player in the third  party logistics industry.
