Celadon Has Trained 100 Percent Of It Drivers
TCA Member Celadon Trucking Services has successfully completed the Highway Watch program, by training 100 percent of its drivers, according to CCJ Magazine. The Highway Watch program, which is a nation-wide safety and security program, trains drivers to use their invaluable transportation skills to prevent terrorists from using trucks in terrorists attacks, thus protecting America's transportation infrastructure.
"We feel very strongly about our responsibility as a truckload carrier to do our part for homeland security," says Steve Russell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Indianapolis-based Celadon. "Our participation in the program is an important step in making our company and country more safe and secure"
In addition, the Vice-President of the Highway Watch program, Bill Jacobs, spoke of Celadon successful completion of the program "I applaud Celadon for the leadership they've shown in providing this important safety and security training to every one of their drivers. I thank them for the tremendous commitment they've made to keeping America safe."
Currently, Celadon is only the second among the industry's top 100 trucking companies to train all of its drivers in the Highway Watch program.
