MATS 2006: Bigger and Better
Louisville, KY, February 21, 2006: In its 35 year history, the Mid-America Trucking Show has consistently become bigger and better with age. However, the 2006 show will highlight a growth spurt more impressive than anything else the show has ever experienced. With the completion of the South Wing C expansion providing more than 160,000 sq. ft. of additional exhibit space and the ever-rising demand for more space, the 2006 show is absolutely "busting at the seams". In total, the show will once again encompass more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The show continues to raise the bar as more than 1,100 industry leading companies are currently signed up to exhibit at the show, surpassing last years total and further reinforcing Mid-Americas position as the premier tradeshow in the trucking industry.
Each year, the Mid-America Trucking Show highlights the trucking industrys elite companies and showcases their products and services to all in attendance. Along with ground breaking product innovations and the latest in product unveilings, Attendees will be invited to visit the shows numerous annual attractions including the new Expediter Experience, Mid-Americas Recruitment Center, the Internet & Technology Center, and for the 6th consecutive year, the Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship along with the 2nd Annual Mid-Americas Big-Rig Build-Off. Nightly entertainment opportunities will also be available, including: Thursday March 23 at 6:00 PM, the Orange County Choppers with their "Tribute to the American Trucker" will unveil the Speedco Chopper along with a performance by The Road Hammers; Friday March 24, George Thorogood headlines Kenworth Truck Companys 18th annual "Trucker Appreciation Concert" at 7:30 PM in Freedom hall, with newcomer Jason Aldean scheduled as the opening act; and Saturday March 25, Nickelback will be rolling through Freedom Hall at 7:30 PM for a live concert with opening acts Trapt and Chevelle.
Traditionally, MATS has surpassed pre-show expectations, and preliminary indications are that the 2006 Mid-America Trucking Show will be heavily attended once again. With countless marketing and sales opportunities, its easy to see why the Mid-America Trucking Show has become the must-attend event for trucking industry professionals.
