Maverick Transportation, Inc. Announces Fleet Wide Pay Raise

Maintaining their history of industry leadership, Maverick Transportation, Inc. announced a brand new pay raise for current and potential drivers, effective October 2, 2005. “This is our third pay raise in less than two years,” said Stephen Selig, President and COO. “It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to offer the best compensation plan and the best driving job in the industry.”

Under the new plan, Maverick will implement a $.02/mile pay raise across the board. This will bring Maverick’s starting pay to $.40 cents per mile for drivers in the company’s long haul fleet and between $.38 and $.39 cents per mile in their regional fleets. “A first year driver at Maverick, under this new plan, will average well over $52,000,” said Recruiting Manager Brad Vaughn.

Along with the pay increase, Maverick will continue to offer benefits like unmatched weekend home time, per diem pay, fuel bonuses, tarp pay, detention pay, referral bonuses, and complete medical benefits.

Based in Little Rock, Arkansas and operating almost 1,000 units, Maverick is approaching 25 years of providing flatbed services to the steel and building material industries coast-to-coast. The company has a variety of driving opportunities available for over-the-road drivers.
