Trucker Buddy activity book published!
Waupaca, WI: Trucker Buddy International announces the release of its new activity/coloring book featuring Mike Ryan and his #77 Freightliner as it races to the top of Pike's Peak. The publication contains fun games, puzzles and activities which help children learn about the trucking industry and the Trucker Buddy program in a fun story about a race truck. Freightliner LLC is the major sponsor of the book, which features Mike Ryan's record setting rig competing in the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb. This past weekend, Ryan again set a new world's record with a time of twelve minutes, 46 seconds, maneuvering 12.4 miles of twists and turns as he speeds toward the top of the mountain. A maze asks children to help Mike find his way to the top of the mountain, and another page has a connect-the-dots activity. The coloring book shows the children axles manufactured by corporate sponsor, ArvinMeritor, which turns into a game as they are asked to identify the axle that is different and to circle it before they color the page. The truck stops at corporate sponsor, Petro's Stopping Center along the way, where children calculate how many miles Mike's rig can travel on 250 gallons of fuel.
Trucker Buddy matches professional drivers with elementary classes for the purpose of corresponding and mentoring the children, while they learn about the trucking industry and the generous drivers who help them learn. This book is the third coloring/activity book produced by Trucker Buddy International and illustrated by Jim Hibbs. It is intended to provide drivers with a fun item to share with the students in the program.
