Marten names Drivers of the Year
Marten Transport recognized Brian Stephens as its Driver of the Year and Greg Gregorio as its Contractor of the Year. Stephens has driven for 13 years, the last eight with Marten. Gregorio has been a driver for more than 30 years. In other news, Marten saluted more than 30 Drivers of the Month of January for their hard work and dedication to the company.

Triple Crown raises contractor pay
Triple Crown raised the pay rate for contractors in its Systems Fleet division to $1.15 per mile. The Systems Fleet division of Triple Crown already offers contractors scheduled home time with flexibility and a generous fuel surcharge.

Graebel names new G.M
Graebel promoted Kian Holstead to general manager of the company’s Los Angeles moving and storage service center from his previous position as director of business development. In his new role, Holstead will oversee operations of the Los Angeles center, which services the entire Southern California region, and he will plan and lead all sales efforts in the region.

C. Bean Transport grows fleet
C. Bean Transport added 70 brand new 2006 Kenworth T600s to its existing fleet. The tractors will replace older models as the company continues to maintain an up-to-date fleet. At the end of this replacement cycle, all tractors will be 2005 models or newer.

Bay & Bay opens satellite office
Bay & Bay opened its first Wisconsin-based satellite office in Neenah, WI. The office will serve primarily as a driver recruitment and training site for the first year. Bay & Bay’s long-term plans are to grow the satellite office into a fully operational transportation terminal.

KLLM boosts pay
KLLM Transport initiated a pay increase of 2 cents per mile for its over-the-road driver associates with at least one year of experience. The new rate boosts KLLM single drivers pay up to 42 cents per mile and teams up to 50 cents per mile.
