Ginn Clubs & Resorts announces primary sponsorship package with MB2 Motorsports

MB2 Motorsports announced last month that Ginn Clubs & Resorts will be a primary sponsor on Sterling Marlin’s Chevrolet for three Nextel Cup races and Kraig Kinser’s Silverado for one Craftsman Truck race.

The sponsorship package kicked off during last month’s Martinsville (VA) Speedway weekend with Ginn Clubs & Resorts being the primary sponsor on Marlin’s No. 14 entry for the NASCAR Nextel Cup race and Kinser’s No. 29 entry for the Crafts-man truck series event. Kinser, an MB2 Motorsports development driver, is part of the Morgan-Dollar Motorsports truck team.

Marlin turned in a strong showing for the No. 14 Ginn Clubs & Resorts Chevrolet debut, starting sixth and finishing 14th. Kinser, competing in only his third race on pavement, finished 29th.

The agreement also calls for Ginn Clubs & Resorts to sponsor Marlin’s MB2-owned Chevrolet—July 1 at Daytona International Speedway and Oct. 14 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte.

“Having Ginn Clubs & Resorts is exciting,” said Marlin. “They’re great people and a great company. I had a blast driving my Ginn Clubs & Resorts Chevy in Martinsville, and I was glad we gave them something fun to watch. The paint scheme looks awesome, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel again in Daytona.”

Ginn Clubs & Resorts, based in Celebration, FL, is a privately held resort development and management firm specializing in exclusive leisure lifestyle and vacation destination communities in the United States. The company first partnered with MB2 as the primary sponsor on Bill Elliott’s No. 36 Chevrolet during February’s Daytona Speedweeks.

“This year, we sponsored Bill Elliott in the Daytona 500 with MB2, and it was an outstanding experience,” said Bobby Ginn, president and CEO of Ginn Clubs & Resorts. “We’re looking to grow our motorsports relationship by sponsoring another popular veteran in Sterling Marlin and an upstart rookie in Kraig Kinser.”

Jay Frye, CEO and general manager of MB2, echoed similar feelings. “Ginn Clubs & Resorts is growing rapidly, and we’re proud and excited that they have joined our MB2 team of sponsors,” he said. “We established a strong relationship with them in Daytona and look to strengthen the partnership with this new primary sponsorship package.”
