The Greatest Truck Show on Earth
An estimated 70,000 trucking enthusiasts from all 50 states and more than 50 countries are expected to invade Louisville, KY from March 23-25 for the 35th Mid-America Trucking Show.
This year’s show will encompass one million square feet of exhibit space at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville. The largest heavy-duty trucking event of the year, MATS is widely considered the leading forum for the trucking industry on the national and international level thanks to its powerful line-up of top speakers and informative seminars. In addition, more than 1,000 exhibitors will showcase equipment and services of every conceivable description, representing the most innovative technology in the industry.
If you’re looking for anything to do with the trucking industry—including a new job— you’ll no doubt find it at MATS.
Speaking of new jobs, Over the Road and Pro Trucker magazines will once again sponsor the Recruitment Center at MATS. Representatives from nearly 90 companies will be at the Recruitment Center to answer your questions and discuss new driving opportunities. Whether you’re just starting out or thinking about changing gears in mid-career, make a point to stop by the Recruitment Center.
While you’re visiting the Recruitment Center, be sure to drop by the Over the Road and Pro Trucker booth located at the main entrance of the West Wing of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. On the opening day of the show, Thursday, March 23, NASCAR driver Ken Schrader will once again greet fans and sign autographs at the OTR/PT booth from 1-3 p.m., just as he has done for the past six years.
The OTR/PT booth will be in celebratory mode throughout the show because this year marks the 25th anniversary of Ramp Publishing, the publishers of Over the Road and Pro Trucker.
Other special events that have become annual MATS attractions include:
• Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship. Now in its 6th year, this “Stars & Stripes Event” is a crowd pleaser.
• The Mid-America Internet & Technology Center. A special area of the show that features Internet- and technology-based companies showcasing the most advanced technology in the trucking industry.
• Seminar Program. MATS provides attendees with informative, trucking-oriented seminars. All seminars take place in South Wing Conference Center Room 101. Seminars are free-of-charge and do not require advanced registration.
• Ol’ Blue USA “Safety Center.” Located in the East Wing, the safety center gives MATS visitors the opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns about log books, pre-trip inspections and highway safety. It also features simulated roadside inspections every hour that are conducted with the help of state law enforcement officers to educate truck drivers on important procedures.
