Single Female Driver ISO a Road Warrior

Dear GG—I’ve tried finding a co-driver/life partner
using every newspaper, online dating service and bulletin board from California to New York. It’s hard for women truckers to find a decent guy, especially an OTR driver. I thought you might be able to help.

I’m 37, 5'6", 165 pounds (not fat, I exercise every day!), long brown hair and brown eyes, I have all of my natural teeth, and I take a shower every day. I’ve been a company driver running solo for three years. I want a man who is neat, funny, smart and works hard. I live in Michigan, but I don’t need to stay there. I prefer guys between 35 to 45 years-old, and I
want one in good shape.

I hope I can find a road warrior in 2005. Thanks.

Sammy, I’m relieved to know that you take daily showers and have
all your teeth. You’re talking about finding a human being, not placing a fast food order! Instead of mass advertising for a life partner, try something wild and crazy like talking to people.
Do you recall the saying, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know?” It’s true. Forget what your mother said and talk to strangers…lots of strangers! Strangers become acquaintances and friends, and from this group you’re more likely to find a better life partner.

Incidentally, Sammy, have you thought about principles, morals, ethics and values in your selection process? If the life expectancy of a potential “life partner” is two years, however, stick with those charming superficial qualifications.
