great income, and they found what they were looking for at Chattanooga, TN-based
U.S. Xpress, Inc. “When we started at U.S. Xpress a year ago, we said that we were going to run at least 250,000 miles in one year so we could pay our bills and save enough money to go on a family cruise,” says Cynthia. “The company told us that the freight was available, but the hard work of driving and meeting pick-up and delivery schedules was up to us. We surpassed our goal, and in December, we went on our voyage!”

Dear Murphy,
As a new driver living in Florida, last winter was my first opportunity to drive
in snow and ice. First I got caught in an icy snowstorm in Memphis. Next, my
trailer froze in the middle of an inter-
section in Indiana. I had to be pulled backwards by a backhoe.
Then I had to drive through another snowstorm in Vermont. For good measure, I got a speeding.
