C.R. England, Inc.

C.R. England’s first Master Premier Leaser, Marc “Sly Dog” McElroy, sets lofty goals for himself. His hope is to retire at or before age 55 and travel with his wife, Diane. As a lease operator with Salt Lake City, UT-based C.R. England, Marc’s dream is definitely within reach.

Part of the C.R. England family for over seven years, Marc has carved a unique niche for himself within the company. As a Master Premier Leaser, Marc was among the very first to seize a great purchase opportunity. Marc currently drives one of England’s Premier Lease trucks, a 2001 Freightliner Classic XL. “It’s a nice truck, garnet red, with a lot of chrome and extra stuff on it.” Marc proclaims. “I’ve shown it a few times and took some first place awards.”

Marc says that he originally decided to become an independent lease operator “because of the freedom and the opportunities. I’m independent and very proud of it!”
Marc also enjoys the income and growth opportunities that the lease program offers, “I think it has

been really good to me,” he says. “I’m home just about every weekend.” Averaging about 3,500 miles a week with Marc’s high average length of haul, most of his time is spent driving instead of waiting around.

In addition to enjoying the financial, mileage, and home time aspects of leasing, Marc also enjoys working with his driver manager, with whom he has a great rapport. “He listens,” says Marc. “Whether it’s good or bad, he’s there when I need him. Personal issues…he takes care of them. He gets
me miles and gets me home when I need to get home.”
Marc is also very happy with the C.R. England facilities. “The facility here is top notch. It has everything: fuel, movie theater, barber shop, restaurant, store, laundry, mailbox, weight room, video arcade—it’s all here.”

C.R. England is a family owned and operated company. “They are easy to work with,” says Marc. “They have an open door policy, and you can talk with them any time you want.”

Since Marc began leasing in February of 1998, his career has opened many doors for him and he is proud to be associated with C.R. England. “One thing I can honestly say for this company is that if you have a problem with maintenance or anything, they’re right here to help you. They’ve done really well for me. I’ve come a long way.” As a C.R. England Master Premier Leaser, Marc McElroy is definitely going places.
