Up Front
Times they are a-changin’
I’ve just returned from the Mid-America Trucking Show and was very encouraged about all of the positive talk about the trucking industry. Freight is certainly on the rise and the “doom and gloom” cloud that has hovered over our industry for what seems like an eternity finally seems to be on its way out.
Spring is now upon us, and while the economy has been in recovery mode, better times appear in sight for everyone; it’s now up to all of us to seize the opportunity. All of us here at Over the Road magazine appreciate all of the kind words and comments we have received from many of our loyal readers welcoming us back in the truck stops. Some of you have been reading us for more than 30 years. Whether this is your 360th or very first time reading us, please know that we appreciate it very much. That being said, we are always looking for feedback from our readers; keep the comments (good, bad or just to say hi!) coming.
We all know that Murphy’s Law must have been derived from our industry, which is why our editorial feature “Murphy's World” is so popular. All of you have at least one (probably at least five) incident where you’ve had a “Murphy” kind of day. If so, let us know; we’d like to share it with our readers. Who knows, your story may appear in next month’s issue.
Until next month,
