Driven Women

YouTube for truckers

What happens when you give a bored trucker a video camera? Either pure genius, or the desire to turn in your CDL.
Check out YouTube. It’s loaded with a variety of videos that’ll either make your head spin, provide pure entertainment or may-be offer a little education.
But the real beauty of videos is that images and actions can clearly communicate the message even if we don’t understand a word that’s being displayed or said. One of my favorite videos is produced by Konieckom, a Vienna insurance company looking to sell truck insurance. The message is clear and hysterical. Don’t go down the road without a functional air horn, or one day, when a driver passes you with his head on the wheel sound asleep, you won’t be able to help him or you.
Don’t know what YouTube is? Go to www.youtube.com and type in “truckers” in the search field. Then pat yourself on the back, because you’ve just entered the 21st century. Well done.
To see my YouTube video favorites or share yours, go to the RAMP Forum at http://www.rampforum.com and click on the “Driven Women” topic in the General section.
     Cheers,
     GG
