Carrier Finance Group can improve your cash flow         
In a time of high fuel costs and slower paying customers, many small- and medium-sized transportation companies are factoring their freight invoices as a means to quickly and inexpensively address the problems. Factoring is a form of commercial finance in which a business sells its accounts receivables (invoices) at a discount to a factoring company. Companies then receive advances on their invoices from the factor, typically within 24 hours.

Hoekstra expands health program        
Hoekstra Transportation, LLC, a regional truckload carrier based in St. Anne, IL, has expanded its health and wellness program for employees by installing a blood pressure ma-chine at the company’s headquarters. Hoekstra Transportation, a proud participant in the Healthy Trucking Initiative, is providing their employees with free health education resources and programs to help employees achieve and maintain safe blood pressure levels as well as overall health.

TMC Transportation honors driver  
TMC Transportation named owner-operator Richard Matter its Driver of the Third Quarter for 2007. Matter has been in the trucking industry for 28 years, the last 15 years with TMC. “Richard does his work the right way, day in and day out,” says Todd Bunting, executive vice president of the safety department. The award is based on years of service, safe driving record, customer service and overall quality performance.   
  
Boyd Bros. launches new Web site
Boyd Bros. Transportation has launched a new Web site at driveforboyd.com. Along with news on recruiting and available positions, the site includes details on Boyd’s culture, a frequently asked questions page highlighting the recruiting and application process, and other links geared toward drivers’ interests.  

Ruan driver receives safety award
Ruan Transport Corporation honored driver Wayne Blubaugh, who received the Ruan Million Mile Safety Award. This achievement recognizes his 2 million miles and 22 years of accident-free driving for Ruan. Blubaugh’s dedication to his company has helped earn him numerous service and safety awards.
