Roehl Transport offers safe work environment

Roehl Transport’s flatbed division won the Industrial Safety Improvement Award from the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The award recognizes Roehl’s flatbed division for having the greatest reduction in on-the-job injuries in the industry.

Maverick Specialized announces pay raise
        
Maverick Specialized, a division of Maverick Transportation, announced a pay raise for drivers in its over-the-road glass fleet. Maverick Specialized will implement a 4-cents per mile pay raise across the board to drivers in the division, bringing pay to 45 cents per mile for experienced drivers and 41 cents for drivers in the student program.

England family donates $1 million to business school
       
Eugene and William England of C. R. England were inducted into the David Eccles School of Business Hall of Fame at the University of Utah. School dean Jack Brittain announced a $1 million donation to the school honoring Eugene and William and their spouses, June and Fern, and funded by their children.

Mercer owner-operator team has a passion for charity
 
Tom and Debbie Berkel, a husband-and-wife owner-operator team for Mercer Transportation, hosted their second annual charity auction at Mercer’s corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY. The auction raised $3,000 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Special Olympics charity organizations.    

MCT Transportation offers business class  
      
MCT Transportation is offering a “No Cost To You” business class to anyone who owns their own truck or trucks or is looking to get into the trucking industry. With the escalation of fuel prices driving costs higher, MCT plans to arm people with the knowledge they need to save money and make more money. 

Walk-a-thon for truck drivers

CFI enhances pay package 
       
Contract Freighters, Inc. unveiled a new driver pay package that increases pay by 1 cent per mile across the board and offers numerous other driver-requested enhancements, including a weekly pay schedule.

TMC announces Million Mile Club recipients
         
TMC Transportation honored the following company drivers and owner-operators with membership in its Million Mile Club: Art Prosser, James Smith II, David Stansbury, Samuel Washington and Charley Nelson.

 
MGM Transport names regional sales manager
        
MGM Transport named Larry Tennen as its North East Regional Sales Manager. Tennen holds a bachelor of science in accounting and enjoyed a 30-year career as a self-employed furniture sales executive.
