Marten recognizes drivers

Marten Transport recognized 33 Drivers of the Month for August 2006. Each received a $25 check, a certificate of achievement and a gift from the company store. Qualifying drivers must meet a minimum of 10,500 miles for that month, have no accidents during the month and have 100 percent on-time deliveries.

Roehl earns gold medal

 

Roehl Transport’s flatbed division received Logistic Management’s Quest for Quality Gold Award for the second consecutive year. The 2006 award is based on a survey of thousands of shippers across the country who rated transportation companies in terms of five service criteria: on-time performance, value, customer service, information technology and equipment/operations.

Express-1 honors value providers

Express-1 named Rebecca Pumfrey as its “Value Provider of the Month” and recognized the team of Elliott Oakes and Veronica Rauch for “doing an excellent job” since signing on with Express-1.

Dart named top dry van carrier

United Sugars Corporation has awarded Dart Transit Company with its National Dry Van Carrier of the Year Award for 2006 for achievement of excellence in outstanding service. In other news, Dart announced its June 2006 Contractors of the Month: Post Witt of the Dallas Operating Center and Walt Bray of the Eagan Operating Center.

Tri-State Expedited Service opened a10-acre complex designed and built for the exclusive comfort and convenience of TSES owner-operators and drivers. The facility includes a spacious lounge (with a 50-inch plasma screen TV), a full self-service kitchen and dining areas, and a large self-serve laundry—all available 24-7 and free of charge to TSES owner-operators and drivers.

Merchants Forwarding Company, a division of Evans Distribution Systems, has once again been named 2006 Carrier of the Year by Schneider Logistics for exceptional performance in transportation services and consistently delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

 

 

Atlas Van Lines recognizes top agents

Atlas Van Lines International recognized its top agents who move goods internationally with awards in two categories: international sales and tonnage moved. Crofutt & Smith Moving & Storage of Landing, NJ earned the sales award while Alaska Terminals, Inc. of Anchorage, AK received the top tonnage award.
