Unlike many things in life, the cost of wireless calling has dropped steadily, both in current dollars and especially when adjusted for inflation. When I had my first cell phone in the mid-eighties, the bill ran into hundreds of dollars each month for only a few dozen minutes of use. Today’s bill of just over one hundred dollars a month includes high-speed data services and nearly a thousand minutes of calling time.
