iRadio Coming To iPhone?
Could streaming radio be coming to a smartphone near you? As reported earlier, the Apple rumor mill has shifted into high gear ahead of next week’s programmer conference, withiRadio service as its latest subject.
This rumor is well-supported by the fact that Apple reached an agreement with Warner Music this past weekend. Having already inked a deal with Universal Music in May, that leaves Sony as the lone holdout among the Big Three music labels, though a deal there is likely imminent.
Early indications are that iRadio service will be available on any streaming-capable device, not just iPhones. Also, like the Pandora streaming service, iRadio might be free to users.
Goldilocks Sighted At Apple?
Also coming out of the iRumor mill are hints that a new, maximized version of the iPad being added to Apple’s existing standard and mini sized tablets. With a 12.9″ screen, the iMaxi would be similar in size to many laptops and ultrabooks, including the larger version of Apple’s MacBook Air. In addition to the extra screen real estate, more battery power may be a key feature of the larger tablet device. Reports suggest that the larger iPad’s debut could likely be sometime in early 2014.
